features
Dustin still has cleidocranial dysplasia and wears a woolen knit version of the Tudor bonnet. Instead of braces, he has his normal, slightly uneven smile without the dental device. His hair remains too long, unkempt, and curly.
HISTORY
Dustin will be very resistant to losing himself and his memory, and he'll hold out for as long as possible before exerting all of that energy into a full-on collapse into the new self that he becomes leaving the old one behind. When that happens, he won't remember anything from before the eight hundred years or anyone. All relationships will be new to him, even those that are canon. He will maintain the enthusiasm he's known for as well as the intellect, but beyond that, he will be a child of Solvunn. Tadhg ; The herald of the story and a father to his inventions earning himself the nickname "Tin Man."
As an orphan in Solvunn, having lost both parents who never returned from an expedition, Dustin was forced to survive by picking up odd jobs, selling his inventions, and through sleight of hand and pickpocketing. He communed with the animals and slept with the livestock on colder nights. Found by Eddie and Steve, the two gave him food and a place to stay and eventually created a family unit with him despite his many attempts at running away or causing trouble to keep them at arm's length. He has a pet Cephalofrog named Splat. For Dustin, Eddie and Steve are truly his parents. //
ABILITIES
Despite having a lot of fresh new talents to use and exploit Dustin doesn't spend all that much time using these skills to his benefit. For the most part, he plays with these things in the privacy of his own domain just to make sure he doesn't hurt anyone (or himself) but there are a few he manages to exploit when he's back to reality, but when he does it's fairly harmless if not annoying.

• Instilled Knowledge
Some people receiving blessings have to pass a test and others Dustin can tell need the blessing and so he gives it willingly, since his gift helps protect more than it allows others to be hurt. His affliction only goes to those deserving, people taking advantage, and those who need to knocked down a few pegs. In the early days, his curses were more common, now he tries to settle things more peacefully.
BLESSING ◎ Intellect Fortress
Protection of the mind; enhanced concentration or clarity (self or others)
AFFLICTION ◎ Vicious Mockery
Provoking anger; psychic damage; hindering concentration or focus

(frozen comment) Lore
Associated with sunshine, adventure, and the pursuit of the unknown The Herald of the Story is connected to the divine gift of insight, of education, and impassioned exploration. His offerings are in creativity, intellect, out-of-the-box thinking, and willful resilience to societal paradigms. True belief in one's abilities and found family can set you free. Taking pride in your skills, and going outside of your comfort zone to get to the truth or find the conclusion are all facets of a story. Not parsing the details, and being astute and observant are necessary to have progress. High risk equals high reward but living to tell the tale is better. Those familiar with the story of Neverland and Peter Pan might see some familiarity with his iconography and lore. Pictures and rumors tend to refer to Tadgh as a mischievous curly-haired youth with an impish smile and insane courage. His followers can be studious craftsmen or unique entrepreneurs on the fringes of society, anyone brazen enough to use their intellect and talents toward purposes larger than themselves. Loyalty is one of the founding principles of the House of Stories and honesty among the ranks is expected. Cultivating kindness while being objective keeps the atmosphere tenable.
His season is summer, eternal and everlasting, a period of optimism, warmth, and using the fiery energy of the sun to propel oneself forward. Tributes aren't necessary but can be given in the ways of books, large and small, resources for crafting, and materials that can be deconstructed and used for other things. Sugary snacks like cakes, candy, and greasy foods are also accepted occasionally so long as they have a shelf-life that allows them to keep. Offers of talent: whether by word, music, or creation are also admissible. At his altars, and places associated with him, one might find bee-keeping, vegetables growing, and a small free library and pantry. "Knowledge is the key to power." and the only proverb that matters, and sharing it is just as important as having it. Those who turn their back on that or their pursuit of it are bound to regret it in the form of vicious mockery. Returning to that stage, after the failure, prompts acts of penance in the form of working alongside other members of the story guild to help them attain their goals. As long as people are in the world, there will be stories, and as long as stories are told valuable insight will be gained from them. The Stories are Neverending and so are the values they bestow to the people that take them in.
Domain - Infinite Annals
Sat upon a steep hill covered in dandelions and daisies, brimming with wildlife of all kinds buzzing, flying, and frolicking in the light breeze under the beaming light above. This domain has only two times daylight and sunset, but the sun never fully goes down. The only indication of time passing is when the fireflies wake up to flutter around when the sun sinks lower in the sky. On the very top of the hill, there is a large satellite connected to a computer that boots Windows 84, it runs a dos program when the keyboard is touched and the screen goes black when a user interacts with it.

If the prompt is followed the floor opens up, binary code, and characters spinning and weaving like an angry swarm of bees. What replaces the sunny knoll is a grand and vast library with books from floor to ceiling, and avenues that seem to expand and reduce like a pair of lungs breathing in and out. There are floating bookcases, staircases to nowhere, and doors that lead to various story worlds of yore that leave a nostalgic and warm feeling in your heart.
Three areas are specific and unchanging. There's an arcade room with endless games and no coins needed. Delights like Pac-Man, Galaga, and more are lined up but you can never reach a high score no matter how long you play.
One door leads you onto a giant Dungeons and Dragons game board with huge polyhedral die and character pieces that cough, sputter, and act almost alive when you move them.
Additionally, there's a music database full of vinyl records, cassette tapes, and 8-tracks that can be played on the machines in the available room for them. Waste your time away from the books and games, and listen to your favorite song.
A cat roams these halls with not much care and concern for the outsiders. He can be found sitting on the reception desk at the front of the library napping, cleaning himself, or watching with eyes that seem to know too much.
If you make it down to the basement make sure the door doesn't close behind you because the further you go into the darkness the stranger things get and you might wind up looking at a stormy version off the domain you'd just entered, with flakes and dust that rise into the sky, hues of gray, and tendrils everywhere. There's signage and caution tape, so really proceed at your own risk. The guard dog won't let you in unless you've got food, but is it really a good idea to ignore all the loud NO TRESPASSING warnings?
